IDA8 is a highly integrated public address/voice alarm system that meets current architectural requirements, requiring IP and/or fiber optic networks to allow even the most complex system designs.

The IDA8C has EN 54-16 certification for use in public address and voice alarm systems. All system components and peripherals are monitored. This monitoring covers from the capsule microphone to the end of the speaker line. The external cables connected to the control inputs are monitored to detect short circuits and open circuits, and an internally generated pilot tone is available to monitor the impedance in the speaker lines.

The IDA8C controller incorporates advanced digital audio processing (DSP), matrix control functions and a digital message player with front panel access to a fully monitored firefighter microphone and emergency activation buttons. IDA8C also supports the monitoring of amplifiers with hot connection and the monitoring of the impedance of the speaker line.

An IDA8C supports the connection of a maximum of 31 slave units through ATEÏS-Net. The slave units are available as a single zone (IDA8S), with A/B speaker line configurations (IDA8SAB) or for low impedance monitoring (IDA8SL). The LCD touch screen of the IDA8C allows operators to visualize a detailed overview of the operating status of the entire system.
