Cover Frame for 2 x SC200 Mechanisms SNOW WHITE (SM200/9) Cima Box, Simon Connect, Simon (SPECIAL OFFERS) Price valid for the purchase of 5 units. Unit price. (OUTLET)
The Simon SM200/9 cover frame is a fundamental component of the Simon Connect (Cima Box) family. Its main function is purely aesthetic and provides a professional finish.
Here are the details of its use and specifications:
1. What is it for?
It is used to finish and conceal the joints of surface-mounted or flush-mounted boxes from the Cima series. When you install a Cima box on the wall or on a table, the SM200 frame is placed over the assembly to:
Conceal the cut: Cover any irregularities of the hole in the wall or the edge of the box.
Unify the design: Give a clean and level finish to the mechanisms (sockets, voice and data plates) you have installed inside.
Protection: Prevent dust from entering the sides of the chassis.
2. Technical Specifications
Reference: SM200/9.
Capacity: This is a frame for 2 Cima modules (the standard size of 108 x 52 mm). It is the perfect companion for the plates you mentioned earlier, such as the S63B or S63C.
Color /9: As we already know, it is Snow White (equivalent to RAL 9003).
Compatibility: It is used exclusively with boxes from the Cima Box range. It is not suitable for universal residential boxes (such as those from Simon 82 or 27).
3. Difference between Chassis and Frame
It is common to confuse them, but they have different functions:
The Chassis (Support) is the metal or rigid plastic piece where the sockets and connectors are "clicked in".
The SM200/9 frame is the decorative plastic piece that goes on top of everything else to give the installation a neat and professional look.
4. Why buy it with Outlet faceplates?
If you're buying faceplates like the S63C/9 (the one with 4 RJ45 ports) to install in surface-mount boxes, you absolutely need the SM200/9 frame so the installation doesn't look "bare" or with the screws and edges exposed.
